MIT and Zamir Telecom announce fellowship for the Sloan School of Management MBA program

Zamir Telecom, an established telco in the carrier market, announced the details of its new MBA fellowship program it has developed with the MIT Sloan School of Management on Thursday 16th January 2014.

The Zamir Telecom Fellowship will fund two promising professionals from the technology sector studying in Sloans MBA program. The $25,000 per fellow grant will be offered annually to applicants from an emerging economy (Africa, Asia or the Middle East) or to those from other countries who have an interest in technological advancement in these areas.

Zamir Telecom said it sees these regions as future hubs for innovation so it has set up the scholarship to enable individuals with extraordinary intellectual curiosity and talent to develop and realise their potential as future leaders and innovators in the technology sector in these emerging economies. Based out of London, and with various operations in these very regions, Zamir Telecom will additionally provide each fellow with a paid internship and a 1-year employment contract on graduation.

Naufal Zamir, Managing Director of Zamir Telecom, and David Schmittlein, Dean of MIT Sloan School of Management, signed the agreement in Cambridge, Mass. and are looking forward to building on their new relationship.
