Zamir Telecom continues to strengthen leadership team with appointment of new Technical Director

Zamir Telecom has appointed a new Technical Director, Shahid Miah, to fill an integral leadership role in the organization as it continues to expand its product portfolio and businesses into the Middle East, Asia and Africa. 

Headquartered in the UK, Zamir Telecom is a fast-growing company with a diverse portfolio of pioneering products and services in both the B2B and B2C telco markets. Its wholesale business is currently establishing new interconnections, and exploring other MVNO opportunities in both Africa and the Middle East.

As Technical Director, Mr. Miah has many years of experience managing greenfield network rollouts, expansions and network operations in emerging and growth markets. He joins from ExcelaCom where he worked on a high visibility group level IT strategy consulting project for the VimpelCom Group. Prior to that, he was CTO at Ooredoo Group subsidiary, Fanoos Telecom in Iraq and worked in various roles within Abu Dhabi Group operations including CTO at Pakistani operator, Wateen Telecom.
